How to setup iPhone/iPad as Roon endpoint:
Get a Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter.

Connect USB cable between the adapter and your DAC.

If you DAC USB port doesn't provide enough power (such as my Esoteric K-01), an error message will pop up.

In such case, use the extra lighting port on the adapter to connect to your iPhone/iPad power supply. In such setup you can charge your iPhone/iPad at the same time.

Now the system is ready for playback.

Tidal Masters playback. The app can show the signal pass.

DAC displays the right spec (48KHz)

If your DAC support DSD, choose DoP in the Roon Device Setup menu.

If your DAC doesn't support DSD, choose Convert to PCM option.

For multi-channel DSD files, Roon will remix channels first before the signal entering your DAC.
