REFERENCE-D1 DAC

REFERENCE-D1 is the high end product of Totaldac. Most components have been improved from the REFERENCE-A1 DAC, the resistors, the power supplies, the output stage, the FPGA etc... and it has many different inputs and outputs especially USB input which allows to listen easily from a computer. The embedded digital volume control allows to interconnect the DAC between a drive or a computer and a power amplifier.
-192KHz asynchronous Xmos USB, optical, RCA and AES-EBU digital inputs, selectable from a remote control.
-44.1KHz, 48KHz, 88.2KHz, 96KHz, 176.4KHz and 192KHz, 16 to 24 bit formats supported on all inputs except 96KHz max for optical input.
-RCA, XLR analog output and 3.3Vrms max 32ohm to 600ohm headphone amplifier.
-digital volume control, adjusted by a remote control and an OLED display.
-adjustable 3.3Vrms max output level.
-phase polarity selected by remote control.
-non-oversampling FIR digital filter activated or disactivated by remote control.
-display switch off by remote control or automatic.
-R2R DAC technology using VishayPG foil naked (VAR) 0.01% resistors, 100 resistors per stereo channel.
-class A, low impedance, discrete transistor output stage.
-supplied with rubber feet and metal cone feet, easy to swap.
-external power supply to minimize the noise on the embedded preamp. Not yet visible on the photo.
-aluminium and PMMA enclosure.
-controlled quantity of raw material, limited weight for the shipping, easy manipulation, 4kg unpacked.
-power consumption 20W.

Available options:
-dual DAC option, using 2 DACs per channel for a 100% balanced DAC. Available for DAC and two way crossover. Improves the XLR output but leaves the RCA and headphone outputs unchanged.
-Adjustable 18dB/oct high pass filter to attenuate sub bass to solve a room acoustics problem or to protect the loudspeakers or to remove sub bass when listening with a headphone or to remove the recording offset or to preserve neighbours or children at night.
-110V-120V power option.
-BNC coaxial digital input.
-REFERENCE-D2 and REFERENCE-D3 ,69 bits 2 way and 3 way crossovers including a digital preamp for the main volume control and also for the relative level between bass, midrange and treble.

The test is done in the worst case conditions:
-DAC REFERENCE-D1 without option.
-RCA output.
-display switched ON.
-USB input connected to a basic computer plugged on the mains, usually measurements are made from the AES-EBU of a professional audio analyser, easier than a computer USB link. Although a computer can be a noisy source and although the RCA output is not as immune as the xlr output the noise floor is as low as -150dBFs!
The noise floor with the dual DAC option will be 3dB better.

The Calyx Femto DAC is the first of a new breed of DACs with jitter measured in Femtoseconds, 500 femtosecond accuracy in fact. Dynamic range of 132db and a THD measurement of 0.0001% round off the impressive specifications.

The Femto DAC has many digital inputs that include two coaxial S/PDIF, two AES/EBU (for balanced operation), one BNC S/PDIF, two TosLink optical and USB 2.0. Analogue outputs include unbalanced RCA and balanced via XLR.

Internally the unit has two transformers, one for analogue circuits and the other for the digital circuits. There are three user selectable digital filters. The analogue output volume is adjustable via the included remote.

パソコン内部のSATAケーブルは簡単に交換する物ではなく、長く使い続けられる 物です。
そしてHDDやSSDに使う事でパソコンの動作全般に影響する部分です。
一般的なSATAケーブルに比べ、データ転送速度はWireDreamの実測で約10%向上し ます。これが画質や音質が向上する最大の理由にして結論です。
音質への影響では、音がスムーズになりアナログ的になり、ステージ感が広くな ります。ボーカルや弦楽器の音が特に判りやすいはずです。
ケーブルの線材は純銀97%と純金3%を使用しています。
この線材を超低温処理後、高温処理を行い、ケーブル処理を行います。
その後、更にもう一度、高温処理、そして超低温処理を施し、一定時間のテストを経て出荷となります。
高温処理は電気炉で数時間、超低温処理は日本製の機械で100時間以上かけて行います。

既に数百本が導入され実績もあります。

Muto - Battery Powered HD DAC Our newcomer has been released under name: "MUTO" which is a Latin word and means: transform, exchange.
This is an internal battery powered HD DAC up to 24bit / 192kHz with two selectable digital (S/PDIF) inputs which are configurable 75 ohm BNC-BNC, BNC-RCA or RCA-RCA. The analog outputs are RCA. The Muto has two internal LiFePO4 batteries with 14-16 hours operation time. The whole charging process is automated. The recharging starts when the unit is switched-off or in case of switched-on and the level of batteries reaches the low state. The Muto has a unique discrete analog output stage in order to reach the ultimate audio performance.
