所以以前我們在學校討論這個時,從不講中文.一律用timbre.就是因為中文的"音質","音色"會產生混淆.

我們會這樣描述:某某女高音對於"音色"的掌控非常擅長,能用不同的"音色"表現不同的情感.如果用英文.這裡的音色可以寫成tone color.

但我們不會講該女高音很能掌控"音質",運用不同的"音質"來表達不同的情感.
因為音質是timbre.

嚴格上來說,如果要用中文的話,音質與音色太容易產生混淆了.都用timbre這個字會精準的多.

不過從英文看起來，音色似乎就是指音質....
